John’s work with IRM UK included:
John worked with IRM UK to design the style and format for their new primary blogging platform. The name for the new blog would be IRM Connects.
This new name retained the link to the primary business name of the company (IRM UK), and also enabled the blog to develop it’s own identity as a separate entity operating with it’s own domain and website.
Logo DesignA new logo was designed for the new blog which, similar to the concept of it’s name, retained links to the primary logo of the company, in addition to having new elements that were specific to the new blog identity.
Domain & Hosting
The registration of the new domain (www.irmconnects.com) managed along with the set-up of adequate WordPress Blog hosting using cPanel Technology.
The structure of the new blog was built using the WordPress Content Management System and a Blogging specific WordPress theme.
A range of security measures were implemented via software installations on the web server, designed to maximise the ability of the website to defend itself from any hacking threats.
Search Engine Marketing
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)The blog was set-up to index fully on the Google Search Engine. In addition, the blog itself was optimised for SEO via the installation of SEO Plugins and the entry of SEO Metadata on a page by page / post by post basis.
Website Analytics (SEO)The blog was set-up fully on Google Analytics and a regular reporting structure and process put in place to enable the owners to take meaningful actions based on the insights they receive from their data sources on their blog.
Content Loading / Content Optimisation
In in the initial period after the launch of the blog, John worked with the owners to publish and optimise all blog post content on IRM Connects.
This process involved receiving and processing document files in formats such as PDF, MS Word, photo/video files etc and creating a blog post that were both WordPress and Mobile Friendly. See example 1, example 2
John delivered on-site and remote training sessions to staff, the goal of which was to make them as self-sufficient as possible in terms of managing their own blog.
The training was successful and the staff now have the skills to create, publish and optimise their own blog posts on their own company blog.
